I was an alien to makeup until I was 28. It’s hard to believe that but the fact is that all my life (till 28 years of corse), the only makeup that I had ever done was to apply an eyeliner, kohl, a little bit of blush on and a lipstick. I knew the terms contouring, bronzers and highlighters but somehow did not know how to begin and to be truthful I thought that my natural self will always look the best. I was wrong about that when my cousin from Canada opened her makeup kit and began doing my makeup as she was helping me get ready for a wedding. Not only did she taught me what to use when but she applied some of the best products on me. These were the products that I had seen some famous YouTubers use so that’s how I knew that I want these products and now was the time to get my makeup kit ready.
The next thing on my list was to go to Sephora to try on different foundations and concealers and decide on the one that suited my skin tone. After comparing Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Foundation, MAC’s Pro Long Foundation and Benefit’s Hello Flawless Oxygen, I decided to go with the one the looked the best on my face.
Here’s a little about my face type – I have a round face with a combination skin on the tee zone and below my skin is dry. I don’t have any acnes or marks on my face but I do have discolouration. So after a lot of research here are the products I asked my cousin to buy for me from Canada (my grandmother goes to Canada after every three months and she could get the products with her). Because of the taxes, everything you get in India is extremely expensive and since I was in no hurry this is what I called for and made my first makeup kit and started using makeup on various occassions!
