I love the fact that the wedding season is back again. This also means that I will have to shop around to find the latest trends and most importantly pick different outfits for all occasions. Wedding season is when everyone wants to look their traditional and classy best so ranging from beautiful anarkali suits, lehengas and shararas, I picked 5 of my favourite outfits for mehendi, cocktail, engagement, wedding and reception.
The first function was Mehendi where everything is bright and colourful. I chose to wear a chikankari white kurti with a chikankari wine colour sharara. To add colours to my outfit I wore a Navratan choker and kept it comfortable on the feet by opting for a jutti.
Dhoti pants are extremely in this season so that is exactly what I picked for cocktail. I wore a bright maroon dhoti pant with a loose top. With this indo-western outfit I wore my golden loafers that complimented my look very well.
For the engagement I wore an orange colour front slit open shirt with trousers. This suit is well fitted at the top and flared at the bottom and is floor length. The secret behind this outfit is that this was once my grandmother's saree which I converted to this pretty looking suit. I wore a pair of nude pumps that neutralised the entire look for me.
The black floor length anarkali I picked up for the wedding looked minimal yet classy as it has heavy embroidery on the neck, bottom and the sleeves. I completed the look with my black pumps.
The last function was the reception. So I picked a beige lehenga saree which has glitter work on the bottom with my golden ankle strap heels.
